Trinity County, California's premier coffee roaster. Roasted to perfection while maintaining environmentally sound production of triple-certified (Organic, Shade Grown & Fair Trade) coffees. Dedicated to the protection of the people and the environment as well as that perfect cup of coffee.
|
| First, there are three birds which signify the Trinity. Not only because we are located in Trinity County in Northern California but for the Trinity itself. | |
| Secondly, the oriole we chose as our logo migrates between here and where some of our coffee is grown. We strive to use Shade Grown coffees whenever possible because Shade Grown coffee plantations provide habitat for many birds and other assorted animal life. | |
| The Oriole makes their house of straw as we did; thus, calling it STRAWHOUSE. We chose to use rice straw because it is a renewable resource with substantial insulating qualities making it very energy efficient. |
STRAWHOUSE is committed to using socially and environmentally responsible practices that have a positive impact on local and global communities. This is accomplished through:
| Use of Triple Certified [ Organic, Shade Grown & Fair Trade] coffees whenever possible. | |
| Giving back to our local community. | |
| Use of renewable and energy efficient materials such as our place of business being built using rice straw. Our roasting equipment is one of the most efficient on the market with nearly one-third output of NOX gas compared to other roasters. |
STRAWHOUSE seeks to model business practices that support the social environment along with proper care of creation as a whole.
